Privacy Policy for myfavora.app

1. What information is collected

• Account data you provide at signup: email address and display name.
• Optional profile details you choose to add, such as a short bio or profile image link.
• Content, links, notes, and media references you submit to your account.
• Activity within the site, such as who you follow, what you like, and what you save to your shortlist.
• Basic technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) that the hosting and database providers record to keep the site operational and secure.

2. How data is used

Your information is used strictly to run the site: to sign you in, to show your content to the audience you choose, to let friends find and follow you, and to respond to your feedback or support requests. It is never sold, rented, or used for commercial marketing, and there is no advertising on the site.

3. Who can see your content

Each item you add has a visibility setting: public to signed-in members, friends only, friends of friends, or private to you. Your display name and email may be visible to other signed-in members when they search for connections. The site administrator can see accounts and content for moderation and support purposes.

4. Data sharing

Data is only shared with the backend infrastructure providers (cloud hosting, database, and authentication services) necessary to run the site, or when required by law. Titles you look up may be sent to public metadata services such as TMDB, Google Books, and iTunes to fetch descriptions and cover art; no personal information is sent with those lookups.

5. Cookies and local storage

The site stores a login session in your browser so you stay signed in, and may store small preferences (such as the optional app lock) locally on your device. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are used.

6. Security and retention

Reasonable measures are taken to protect your data, but no site can be guaranteed secure. Your account data and content are kept for as long as your account exists, and are deleted on request.

7. Children

This site is not intended for children under 13, and accounts for children under 13 are not knowingly created. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact the administrator and it will be removed.

8. Contact & removal

If you want your account or content deleted, or you have any privacy question, contact Betsy@betsyconlan.com. Requests are handled promptly.
